My first tech sales job lasted six tough months. The company wasn't the right fit, and I nearly walked away from sales entirely.

Instead I spent the next year and a half in telesales, making tens of thousands of cold calls from my room with a headset, working remotely. It wasn't glamorous, but that's where I learnt to pick up the phone and not be afraid of rejection, the foundation everything else was built on.

That grind paid off. I then joined a fast-growing US SaaS company as a Sales Development Representative (SDR), got promoted to an Account Executive (AE), and hit President's Club after achieving 170% of my revenue target in a hybrid quota role split between revenue and demo targets.

Now I help people who look like the old me build the skills that get them hired. My path wasn't linear, and yours doesn't have to be either.
